Lara Baumann

Lara Baumann teaches the Quantum Method® of Yoga to all levels of students both publicly and privately worldwide.

Her powerful relationship with yoga and a strong interest in Eastern philosophy is the result of her upbringing in India and Japan, which subsequently led her to complete an MA in Religious Studies at SOAS, University of London.

As an apprentice, she has studied with Sri K Pattabhi Jois in Mysore, as well as BKS Iyengar in Pune. In May 2005 Lara took the Jivamukti 200-hour Yoga Alliance teacher training, and in July 2009 she completed the 500-hour certificate with Tripsichore. Her main teachers are Edward Clark, Danny Paradise and Clive Sheridan.

In January 2009 Lara’s book “Quantum Yoga, The Holistic Approach to Creating Your Ideal Practice” was published, complemented by the further releases of several DVD’s. Lara runs annual Yoga Alliance accredited one-month Teacher Trainings, see www.quantumyoga.com for more info.

The Quantum Method of Yoga Lara teaches is a dynamic, flowing form that integrates the holistic approach of the ancient healing science of Ayurveda, as well as the modern insights of Quantum physics, and leads to intelligent self-practice.

The pranayama follows classical Indian methods and the meditation techniques are largely derived from Buddhist practices.

At Ulpotha there will be a main dynamic yoga practice, as well as meditation and pranayama sessions. Lara will lead the class and you will receive support and adjustments, as well as spiritual discourse (satsang) and time for Q&A.
