Root to Rise Through Yoga with Omaya Senarathna
This retreat is an invitation to move with intention and warmth drawing on traditional Hatha and mindful flow to awaken the body and settle the mind. Evening sessions invite deeper rest with Yin, restorative shapes and sound healing. Week two includes a New Moon Ceremony with cacao, movement, journaling and meditating on the energy of the New Moon. During some of the afternoon sessions Omaya will play with the 7 chakra Tibetan Bowls and other instruments, deepening relaxation and guiding the nervous system into a profound state of rest.
Morning Classes
Hatha Vinyasa : A mindful blend of two yoga traditions, this class weaves the grounding and principles of Hatha yoga with the fluid, breath-linked movement of Vinyasa flow. Expect a practice that moves with intention, ending with pranayama and meditation
Afternoon Classes
Yin Yoga A deeply restorative practice that invites you to slow down, surrender, and go within. Poses are held for extended periods — typically 3 to 5 minutes — targeting the deeper connective tissues of the body: fascia, ligaments, and joints. This is a practice of stillness and patience, encouraging both physical release and a quiet, meditative state of mind.

Omaya Senarathna
Yoga TeacherOmaya Senarathna is a Sri Lankan yoga instructor, sound healer, and space holder, rooted in the understanding that true self-inquiry arises naturally where there is spaciousness, stillness, and sacred pause. Born into a family shaped by the practice, it is something she grew up with. Her formal training is both classical and wide-ranging, including a training in Traditional Hatha, Vinyasa, and Yin Yoga, a Hatha and Mantra Sadhana Ashram Immersion at the Paramanand Yoga Teacher Training Institute in Indore under Dr. Omanand Guruji, and time living and studying within the Sivananda tradition in Tamil Nadu.
She deepens her offering with the weaving in of sound healing, after her completion of the 50-hour Tibetan Singing Bowl training. She uses assisted touch and gentle touches to go deeper into the practice. She also weaves aspects of Classical Tantra into her classes. Initiated by Sonam Dukpa from the Shaiva Shakta Tradition. In practice, she has taught yoga full-time through yoga asana, leading retreats and full-day immersions into yogic history, philosophy, and story.
