Ulpotha is a traditional agricultural community in the jungle heartland of Sri Lanka, and is one of the very few places you can feel safely immersed in the heart of nature and experience indescribable natural beauty and serenity. Ulpotha is a self-sustaining agricultural community spanning 25 acres in the jungle heartland of Sri Lanka. When you arrive you can leave the digital world behind. Ulpotha is a living permaculture village and you will sleep in earthen huts and feel connected to the land. Much of the food is grown on-site and the whole atmosphere at Ulpotha is permeated with metta (loving-kindness). If you are looking for an emotional, spiritual or physical reset, come stay at Ulpotha. You can walk barefoot in pristine nature and swim in the silky-smooth waters of the lotus ringed lake, far removed from stresses of the modern world. Ulpotha exists in a world where it’s safe enough to live without fences or walls or doors or locks. Ulpotha will be hosting this retreat for a limited private group and all necessary Covid-19 precautionary measures will be taken to ensure your safety. There's plenty of space in the 25 acre area for social distancing too!

Rekha Krishnamoorthy
Isha Hatha Yoga Instructor

Previously a Strategy Consultant for 10 years in the U.S. and Sri Lanka, Rekha Krishnamoorthy is now a certified Isha Hatha Yoga Instructor. She underwent 1750+ hours of training in India, which involved comprehensive exposure to yogic practices, maintaining a strong link to its classical roots. She was also trained in understanding the human physiology, anatomy and Siddha Medicine.

7:30 am to 10 am Morning Meditation, Pranayama, and Asana practice
10 am Coconut, fruits, and light breakfast
1 pm Lunch
4 pm on three afternoons we will offer a workshop/clinic to help you deepen your understanding of Yoga.
7 pm Dinner
One morning during the week there will be no 7:30 am class. You can rest or join us for a sunrise hike up Uncle Willy’s rock. In the afternoon we will offer a special event.
